At Kitwe KB dispelled rumors by the Movement that he will expel Banyarwanda from the country when he gets into power. He was perplexed by the logic of a government that accuses him of linking with the Rwanda government to train rebels to overthrow the Ugandan government, now turning round at their convenience to say he was preparing to chase Banyarwanda from Uganda. Besigye said he will never give up his fight against dictatorship and added that fortunately the dictatorship is crumbling on its own and all we need to do is to sweep it away. He said FDC wants a Uganda where all Ugandans have equal opportunities for scholarships, hospital services, and not a Uganda where a few are taken to hospitals abroad while others are dying in hospitals without drugs.
The campaign team then stopped at Ruhaama Sub County at 12:30 p.m. where Kizza Besigye thanked enthusiastic supporters who had braved the scorching sunshine for about four hours waiting for him. He said the problem of Ruhaama is not poor representation in Parliament as Museveni has been saying, but poor leadership of the entire regime for which he said the only medicine would be administered on 23rd February by voting Museveni and NRM out of power. He lashed out at Museveni’s program of ‘Prosperity for All’ saying it could never happen while State House has a budget of 86 billion shillings a year and the whole of Ntungamo District runs on 14 billion shillings a year.
KB assured women voters that their rights are natural and God given and all we can do is respect and guarantee those rights. He said no one has the right to give or take away the rights of the women of Uganda. He said that in the past when he was National Political Commissar he supported enactment of legislation that guaranteed women leadership positions in formal structures of government.

KB addressing a rally at Rwashamire, Kajara on Friday Feb 10, 2006
KB reached in Ntungamo Town at 2:30 p.m. where Alice Kafooda gave him a drum, a spear and a stool upon arrival. Hon. Ruzindana said his County Ruhaama has 94,000 voters and assured KB of 70% of those votes. He said NRM has hired all the lodges in Ntungamo and promised to buy boda-boda (motorcycles) for all the youth but many young people have rejected the bribery. He said intimidation in Ruhaama where he is standing against First Lady Janet Museveni is very high and he cited a case where an FDC supporter was stabbed. Ruzindana said while he is assured of victory in Ruhaama, he was even more confident that KB’s support there exceeded his.
KB who was in a jovial mood earlier became emotional and wept saying he had spent time in prison and in court instead of being with the people and that while thieves were stealing left and right Museveni is busy witch hunting innocent civilians. Earlier on reports had reached the team saying that people were being intimidated and beaten in Rubaale. Kizza Besigye said that the day NRM captured Kampala on 25th January 1986, they only had back packs but today you hear of these same people with bungalows and mansions and he often wonders what they did that others cannot do. He spoke of two Ugandas one moving forward and another moving backwards. When people shouted that it was the Bahima who were stealing, Besigye asked them if Hon. Mwesigwa Rukutana was a Muhima to illustrate that thieves and wrongdoers could come from any ethnicity. Two international election observers attended the rally

Kanyomozi and mugisha Muntu addressing the rally in Rwashameire
The campaign team then went through Kagarama and Kagamba after which KB addressed another rally at Kajara, Rwashameire, Ntungamo District. Reverend Rwabutururuma received Kizza Besigye and prayed for peace in the country. Naboth Baryahabwe MP Parliamentary Candidate Kajara, and Tumuhabwa Wilson Chairman Task Force for Kajara County joined them. KB welcomed the former NRM Chairman Bwongyera Sub County who is also LCIII Chariman, Mr. Tinkamanyire into FDC and former NRM supporters surrendered 150 NRM cards to the FDC party president. Mugisha Muntu appealed to people to overcome fear saying that the more people fear the more they arm their opponent Museveni instead of disarming him. He said that people must be confident in the belief that when they decide that Museveni must go he will indeed go. Kizza Besigye assured people that whether he wants or not Museveni has to go this time round because the whole country has decided that he must go.
The party president and his entourage stopped briefly to greet the people of Rushenyi, in Rubaale County before proceeding to Kabale for the night
Ends.
