During deliberations the Katikiro wondered how there could be only one person with a vision for the whole country in reference to Museveni's assertion that he is the only one with a vision for Uganda. The Katikiro handed a copy of the Resolution of the Lukiiko and Bataka of Buganda on issues of concern to Buganda Kingdom in which they rejected the Regional Tier government that government offered to Buganda in place of full federal status. Kizza Besigye bought a Certificate of the Kingdom and promised Buganda full federal status if FDC is voted into power next week.
As KB was stepping out of the Palace building he stopped to pose for photographs with the Katikiro and that is when gunshots were fired outside the main gate of Bulange. The incident in which a security agent shot at a crowd of people who had accompanied Kizza Besigye to Bulange is reported to have left four people dead and one person seriously injured. Upon hearing the gunshots, Kizza Besigye, the Katikiro and their entourage returned inside the Palace and waited for the chaotic scenes that followed the state agent's provocative killing of FDC supporters, to calm down. Mambas (armored military vehicles) were deployed outside Bulange to contain the situation.
After the shooting stopped and there was some semblance of order, KB entered his car and headed towards Makerere University. When his supporters saw him still waving from the roof top of his car they emerged from the places where they had taken cover and returned to the streets, surrounded his car and marched alongside his vehicle all the way to Makerere University's Freedom Square where he addressed a thunderous rally.
KB addresses FDC supporters at Makerere University Freedom Square
At Makerere University classes came to a standstill, faculties closed down, and the whole Campus was filled with people chanting "Ajjaggenda - eee - ajjaggenda" meaning that Museveni will go. Lecturers, workers, and students formed one of the biggest crowd ever seen at Campus where coincidentally a student was shot dead by Uganda's military after KB addressed students there in the presidential election campaigns of 2001.
Winnie Byanyima, who Makerere students prefer to call the First Lady, addressed the crowds to chants of OG (Old Girl). FDC Chairman Suleiman Kiggundu, DP Parliamentary Candidate Hon. Sebuliba Mutumba, FDC Women's Candidate for Kampala Ms Nagai Sempala, and independent mayoral candidate for Kampala Hajji Sebagala were among those who accompanied Kizza Besigye. Kizza Besigye assured the intellectual community that this time round, "Omusajja ajjaggenda" meaning that Museveni will go next week. FDC Makerere Branch gave Dr. Besigye Instruments of power and decorated him and Winnie with the revered Makerere University gown to which KB said, "Museveni will never get this gown". The students exploded in loud cheers.

Kizza Besigye will continue with his campaign program tomorrow Thursday February 15, 2006 and regrets that he will be unable to attend the scheduled television and radio presidential debates that had been scheduled.
Meantime the head of the Youth League Mr. Samuel Makokha and FDC President's Special Secretary Kanamala Kanamwangi are heading a group of trainers that is moving around the country creating vote protection teams. The trainers have so far covered the districts of Sembabule, Masaka, Rakai and Kalangala from where they report on the challenges they faced in the exercise. They started in Masaka on Saturday February 11, 2006 where they trained FDC polling agents in all the twenty-three sub counties of Masaka on voting procedures and detection of common rigging techniques. They formed groups of ten people per polling station, two of whom will be the official polling agents.
Upon arrival in Sembabule on Sunday February 12, 2006 they found two FDC supporters under arrest for allegedly being in possession of a document entitled 50 years of Bahima rule. The team took time off their tight training schedule to follow-up the matter until the supporters were released today on bail. FDC supporters also told members of the training team that armed men regularly come to the area to pull down Besigye's posters. This complaint has been reported to police but remains unresolved.
Police/black mambas/governmemnt security agents have become increasingly visible as election days closes in.
From Sembabule the group headed to Lyantonde Town and while they were training FDC supporters, gunmen came and asked them to leave the place. The trainers asked why they were being asked to leave and the guns were cocked and pointed at them. The trainers still resisted intimidation until police came and sent the gunmen away after which the trainers continued their training in a closed area. While at the closed training the group was again accosted by one Nzeire who is President Museveni's brother. He approached the trainers who were addressing FDC supporters in a closed place and said it seemed they had not learnt from the earlier incident and if they insisted on staying he was going to burn their car and shoot them. Once again the brave trainers defied this harassment and spent the night in Lyantonde in order to encourage supporters to remain strong and brave.
The trainers then broke up into teams and continued with their mission. During their journeys they discovered a ghost polling station at a place called Kabingo at the border of Nakasongola and Rakai Districts. According to the Electoral Commission this polling station does not officially exist. The group also went to Kyotera where they created more poll monitoring teams before finally going to Kalangala. In Kalangala, people expressed fears of vote rigging but after they were taken through the training they became very enthusiastic about protecting the votes and promised to form more vote protection committees. The group addressed mini rallies in Betta, Kasekulo, and Kalangala town Council
