THE FINAL PUSH
Friends,
The leadership of the Forum for Democratic Change has done its part. The amount of hard work and dedication that went into planning the 2006 campaigns was rewarded with a successful country wide tour of the Presidential campaign team. Against the greatest odds the presidential candidate traversed the nation and every where he stopped he left behind hope for change and a new beginning. The country is gripped with enthusiasm and optimism but also with apprehension that they might lose this election to the same people who stole the 2001 election. Continue
On February 23rd, we will rescue our country from the jaws of military dictators, corrupt, greedy and power hungry vultures. We have what it takes to achieve that feat and I believe this may be the last opportunity to peacefully drag our country from the edge of civil strife.
To help us make this rescue possible, we are asking for any monetary contributions towards poll monitoring. The money will be used to transport and feed poll monitors at all polling stations in the country. It will be used to fuel vehicles to supervise polling activities. It will be used to ensure that ballot boxes heading to tallying centers get there without incident. It will be used to guard the votes of our supporters so that we do not fail their trust to make every single vote count.

We feel your enthusiasm will definitely lead to our goal of raising $200,000 in one week.
We are asking for contributions starting from $10.00 and up. Anything is appreciated, and we ask all those receiving funds to do their best to carry out a contribution trace report, which will account for each dollar contributed. You have by now established your most trusted method of giving to FDC. We urge you to use that same method to give to this noble cause. If you have not yet given then get in touch with your regional envoy and establish how best to send money to FDC headquarters at the earliest opportunity. We have only one week of campaigning left and then we shall rest our case. Poll observers, monitors and agents will then be our frontline volunteers in this struggle. Do not let them down.
Thanks for all that you have done for FDC and we look forward to seeing you at the victory party!
Sincerely,
Anne Mugisha
Special Envoy, Office of the President FDC.
